Bellagio without the train plus ferry
From Milan to Bellagio is about 73 km and about 1 h 30 in normal traffic, starting from Milano Centrale. The most direct way is the SS36 Milan-Lecco, then the shore of the Lecco branch through Onno up to the tip of the promontory; the alternative runs via Como and the SP583. Either way the last stretch is a narrow lake road and in season times are indicative. Bellagio has no railway station: by public transport you take the train from Centrale to Varenna-Esino, about 65 minutes, one an hour, and then the ferry.
