Brienno, the laurel village between Laglio and Argegno
Brienno is one of the smallest, most tucked-away villages on the west shore: stone houses squeezed between the mountain and the water, steep little lanes, the laurel trees that once made its living, and an open view across the lake towards Torno. It sits on the SS340 Regina road, between Laglio and Argegno. Cars cannot enter the old village and parking along the main road is scarce, which is exactly why a driver makes life easier. We drop you on the road at the village entrance, or at your holiday home when access allows, and help you with your luggage.
A private transfer to Brienno from Malpensa airport covers about 65 km in just over an hour; from Como it is about 18 km and twenty-odd minutes, from Milan about an hour and ten. The Regina is narrow and winding along this stretch, so in summer and at weekends times can stretch, and we allow for it when we set your pickup. You travel in a Mercedes E-Class for up to 3 passengers or a V-Class for up to 7. Fixed price per vehicle, tolls included, locked in when you book.
